Arts Advocacy Day 2011

This year marks the Americans for the Arts 24rd National Arts Action Summit. Each year, through funds raised by the Drexel Arts Administration Graduation  Association‘s Art Auction, we are able to send a delegation of students to Capitol Hill for this important day.

This year’s event highlights include:

  • Legislative updates on important arts issues
  • Lobbying 101
  • Nancy Hanks Lecture at the JFK Performing Arts Center on Arts and Public Policy
  • Scheduled meetings with members of Congress

Nate Black, AAGA Arts Advocacy Director, is heading up our student delegation along with additional student leaders from the AAGA board and current student community. For more information, contact aaga@drexel.edu and visit Arts Advocacy Day 2011. We’ll see you there!
